Easy & Quick Kalakand (Indian Milk Barfi)...:)

Kalakand is one of the popular Indian Milk sweet...Its a real feast to Milk sweet lovers....It is prepared by condensing milk which requires great patience as it needs constant stirring and slow prolonged cooking. Such tedious process is often a deterrent to making this sweet at home. One of my brother Arnab once  prepare this type microwave version Kalakand in my house ...That time I first show this recipe &  I loved his easy & quick method.... It is so quick and easy that you will not think twice to try it.

Here I tell you the easy way to make Kalakand.... “Easy” because it has only 2 major ingredients and ready to eat in under 1-2 hours only....I used Electric wall Oven for preparing this nice sweet dish....Here is the recipe...Hope you also enjoying with this recipe...:)


Ingredients:-

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • About 2 tbsp chopped almonds / pistachios(for garnish)
Method:-
  1. In a large bowl empty out the can of condensed milk & cardamom powder. Add ricotta cheese little by little and mix well with a whisk.
  2. Lightly grease a large oven safe dish [preferably rectangular is perfect] with ghee/butter. Pour the mixture into this.
  3. Preheat the oven at 400 degree, then bake for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Let stand in the oven for half and hour. Allow to cool for at least half an hour. Thencut into squares / rectangles/ diamonds shape (as you like).
  5. Remove, transfer to a container and refrigerate(2-3 hours).Before serving, sprinkle chopped nuts on  the top.
